What an amazing and exhausting week. Such a milestone in a young person's life and so much to be thankful for as we look back and reflect. And I have to say, we appear to have done something right as parents!
The Commencement service Friday night was just perfect. Beautiful music by the choir and band - - Emma's last official performance... A perfect student message by Allison Carmany and nice messages from the superintendent and high school principal. Other than a warm gym, it was great!

We enjoyed a short celebration after the service with some ice cream cake! Then came a day of final touches and setup at the college for Emma's party on Sunday! We were only able to make it to one of the open house parties to which we were invited, I wish we had been able to fit in more! What fun celebrations for the graduates and families! Even through the rain storms that rolled through.
Then came Sunday and I can't even begin to express the gratitude for all that came, sent cards and assisted with the open house. Wow, what a heart warming event to see so many come to congratulate Emma. She was so happy and I don't think that smile ever left her!
A huge thank you to Katy and Mark who helped occupy the little girls and try to keep them wrangled in. Not sure what I would have done if not for two amazing friends Laura Eyre and Leslie Neist!!! You two were like fairy godmothers!!! How lucky we are to have you in our lives! And my mom! She is the most awesome ever!! I hope I get to be like her!! She's my calm through every storm and always ready to help solve any problem! Oh this list could go on...Aunt Barb, Aunt Mary, my Dad, Ken & Lori... All the helping hands to help Emma get where she is today.
We look with nervous excitement to her next stage in life. In the meantime, her little sisters are going to enjoy all of her attention this summer! Day one of summer daycare with Emma already included a trip to the library and the park!
