This Easter was full of all kinds of changes for us, and we thought having newborn Joelle last year was an adventure! But it's all about new opportunities and new experiences.
This was the first year in 15 years that Emma wasn't home Easter morning to see first thing what goodies were left in her basket. She was sleeping at Grandma and Grandpa Lundell's with her younger cousins (my cousin's daughters) - Alyvia, Myia and Ava. And I think those 3 had a great time! Easter morning Joelle woke up and hollered for her sister from the hallway and couldn't understand why Emma wasn't in her bed. So Easter basket inspection came later that day when all of us were home.
There was the added fun of having many members of my mom's family here to celebrate both Easter and Great-Grandma Hedlund's birthday! We had a fantastic Easter Egg Hunt Sunday morning following church!
The other major change wasn't necessarily that Bob was working Easter weekend, but more about where he was working and his hours. Somehow I managed with having him gone from 11 AM - 10 PM on Saturday and from 8 AM - 4 PM on Sunday. Not something we were used to and boy were we ALL glad to see Daddy when he came out to the farm on Sunday evening!! For those that haven't heard, Bob is now working at Home Depot in Willmar. It's a job for now and he keeps looking for the right position that will utilize his skills and education. The difficult decision to close our store was made a few months ago, but it took awhile for everyone to be ready for that to be stated out loud. We are planning for a close-out sale in May to finish out and say goodbye. I'm sure there will be more on this in the days and weeks to come...
